This is a so-called spectrally selective film that transmits visible light but keeps a significant part of infrared radiation outside. The high difference in the performance of interior and exterior window films is due to the fact that interior films pass on the absorbed heat towards the inside, while exterior films do so towards the outside. Exterior films are exposed to natural impacts, therefore they have shorter durability compared to interior films. It is also important to know that there are certain requirements for installing an exterior film: they can only be installed if the temperature is at least +10 degrees Celsius (even at night) and when there is no strong wind and / or rain.
