There are two major standards in Europe: EN 12 600 and EN 356. EN 12600 is a test for safety films, it simulates a 12-year-old boy hitting the glass. 1B1, 2B2 and 3B3 are the ratings, where 1B1 is the strongest. EN 356 is a test for security films simulating repeated attacks on glass surface. P1A and P2A classes can be achieved.
