What kind of documents do I get with the film?
If the chosen workshop cannot give you a Guarantee of Workmanship for the glass surfaces behind the B pillar for the films, you should choose another film by all means because it can be very awkward if you cannot verify at a traffic control or a MOT test that the product has been installed in a lawful way. There are workshops that put licence numbers onto the front side windows. This is completely illegal.

All our automotive window films have the license of the local Transport Authority.
Do I get a heat protection film?
We differenciate between heat protection and non heat protection automotive films. In most cases, the non heat protection films contain dyeing only. Classical heat protection films are made with metalized layer, whereas the newest innovations with infra-absorbing coating. In case of darker types, you should choose metalized films because of their stability and safety, in case of lighter shades the infra-absorbing types are much more effective.

What is my purpose with the application?
Protection of cargo hold: You should choose a dark film in order to protect the cargo hold, so that the thief cannot estimate the risk of breaking into the car; therefore he is going to look for another target (Shark RS05, Shark HP03, Shark HP05).
Child protection: Two factors have to be improved for the calmness of children. Appropriate semi-darkness has to be secured and the burning infra radiation has to be filltered. The classic dyed-metalized films are the most suitable for this purpose (Shark HP05, Shark HP15, Shark HP20).
Heat protection: The incident energy is divided into visible light and infrared spectra in a ratio of 50-50%. If heat protection should be first-class and you want to achieve it with a light film, you should choose a product with nicke-chrome metallization or an infra-absorbing film (Shark UP35, Shark IR70).
Who installs the film?
The professional application of automotive window films requires attention and great practice. Beware of undemanding workshops, of amateurs who cannot give an invoice or who are part-time job applicators. even an excellent quality film can be ugly if it is not installed by a professional.

How can a film be applied in a more beautiful way: with or without taking the car apart?
It is a false belief that spotless application can be done either with or without taking the car apart. A skilled professional can do a spotless job with the technique most suitable for him. A serious damage or a wrong application can be done with both techniques; necessary practice and attention are important in all cases.
What kind of guarantee do I get for the film?
It is important who issues the guarantee: a limited partnership that applies the film or an internationally recognized factory that has been shipping its products for decades to countries all over the world. It also makes a difference what we guarantee. Smaller distributors often make the mistake that they provide the same guarantee for all their materials irrespectively of their structure.

Who is the manufacturer of the film?
In recent years, the circle of manufacturers has diluted. Many manufacturers from the Far East are trying to conquer the Western market. Today it is still true that these products are usually not suitable for the Western market in many respects because of their instable quality level. However, there are several leading American manufacturers who buy semi-finished products from the Far East and sell it under their well established brand name more and more often. SkyFol has only contact to world leading American manufacturers who are able to maintain a stable high quality level.
Which series of the manufacturer do I get for my money?
We can see in case of several manufacturers that they do not separate their film types appropriately but they sell the lowest technology level products while advertising their best quality series. SkyFol handles all its series separately by indicating its advantages and disadvantages. We are proud that Shark HP category products of high technological level lead the sales figures by far in contrast with products of other distributors that contain dyeing only.
